Not being cute- I tend to approach this sort of thing as a professional observer of politics, even when it's not anything specifically on my beat, but tonight I really think that I, as a US citizen, may simply want to know what my President has to say.

I don't know what he's going to say and I would very much like to know. He has the potential to begin to change my mind about him or to solidify my long held belief that he is not, fundamentally, the sort of person who can meet a moment like this.
