In case it's not clear, as a dastardly online leftist, one of, but not the singular, reasons I have hated Joe Biden as a candidate all this time is that I really, really did not want Donald Trump to ever be president again.

The Supreme Court just declared that he is above the law and that his predecessor and potential successor, a felon, is also above the law.
What will he say about that? What does he plan to do? I genuinely want to know.

I don't know what he's going to say and I would very much like to know. He has the potential to begin to change my mind about him or to solidify my long held belief that he is not, fundamentally, the sort of person who can meet a moment like this.

I let go of blame. I like people. I accept we're mostly vicious and short-sighted as well as loving, tender, and kind, many of us at the same time.

The political changes that are happening in my country are catastrophic, and likely to get worse, no matter what I do. I do what I can, I bear witness, and then I let go.

Radical acceptance suffers from over exposure and pop-psychologization, but it's legitimately the way I personally make it through the day and do the work I do.
