I have two banks I work with, and both are _explicit_ that they will never call me, except for marketing. I’d reconsider doing business with a bank that exposed me to this kind of scam. When I’ve had credit card fraud, they’ve texted me to call their fraud number, which is on their website.

This is obviously a problem for folks who only have land lines, but there needs to be a protocol to tell them to call a known safe number.
