but instead we portray trump as a strongman politician (not really a good thing to do if the other party simply embraces that narrative, and then builds an insane qanon extended universe of lore around it.) that's gonna become god emperor if he wins again... despite uhhh not having done that already

meanwhile our democratic institutions are only capable of sustaining a meaningful choice between two parties? and like 1/3rd of eligible voters don't even bother... have we considered that to be an issue at all? i don't feel like i'm particularly doomer about this, i would prefer more voters vote!
