aye, that'll do it, could be the switch in the building is offline. sometimes if you call usi they can direct you to the switch (usually in the laundry rooms of apartments) where you might be able to confirm the switch has power or possibly even have them direct you to reboot it.

like the last decade the democratic establishment has seemingly coalesced around the literal strategy to "vote blue no matter who". that's an implicit omission it doesn't, and presumably won't ever matter who they run, it's never a vote *for* them, it's a vote *against* the other party! RIGHT?!?

i guess the thing that frustrates me the most about all this is the constant fever pitch for the last decade about this being the end of democratic institutions in the united states. eventually this loses its urgency, normal people will get fatigued, and check out. (arguably this already happened)
