My better half and I went to a BBQ restaurant who had roaming mariachis. It's San Antonio so not unusual. I noticed the violin player was an Orthodox guy in full mariachi garb. He stood out but he was good. Kinda surreal.

I'm verklempt. I didn't realise how much I miss good mariachi; and how absent it is in New Jersey. Add the klezmer aspects and it's strangely overwhelming.
