There’s nothing hard about the “truths” they’re telling us, not for them. They want things to be a certain way and they’re putting their muscle into trying to make it that way. This is being done joyfully, not tearfully.

You can see this happening in miniature here on Bluesky. An account I’d really respected, cultivated an audience of liberals, then went to work for the Times and weeks later dedicated his account to more or less openly trolling them through selective curation.
