Yeah, I definitely don’t mean to single him out as uniquely determinative, just an example of somebody who’s saying stuff he’s gonna find it hard to walk back if Biden remains the nominee.

Does that matter? Individually no, collectively maybe? Does this also create perverse incentives for the press to drive damage narratives against candidates they don’t like? Yes! And like, I don’t know what to do about it?
