7/ What people do in their private sex lives is not my business, until it impinges on age & consent issues. Is Author into BDSM? I don't know, AND that should not be an automatic assumption of guilt. Best practices BDSM is founded on rigorous, reaffirmed consent. It's a proxy target.

8/ Like Furries, trans and gay people, immigrants...whatever 'other' target can be lined up as a handy wedge issue. I'll remind y'all that American conservatives mostly didn't give a damn about abortion...until post 1973, when they realized it could be a proxy substitute for their Jim Crow racism.
