Set aside Bowman in particular, the broader dynamic is the GOP will tolerate anything from their Reps, far worse than anything Bowman's ever said, and the Dems will flex their muscles and take help from AIPAC to pick off progressive Dems. They did this in the Buffalos mayor's race.
