Normally I'll sit here expanding on ideas and subjects from the video, explaining things that maybe we did a mediocre job of laying out or adding additional information that fell outside the scope, but that feels almost inappropriate in this situation.

I feel like your overall point was clear, and I really appreciated the piece, but spending 45 minutes repeatedly attacking someone's personal life to land on "and it sucks that I'm that way, too" just felt really painful to me. I've had people make videos tearing into me before, it always sucks.

Anyway Jack Saint put out a really insightful hit piece on notorious lolcow Dan Olson and his latest cringe and I think it's worth watching for what it adds to the conversation.

I did feel while watching that the video was probably made largely for yourself, rather than something informative in the way many of your other videos are, but I don't think that makes it bad or anything - you're very skilled at narration and editing, that can make any video worth watching.

(I actually watched it a couple times and it feels like a bit of a different meaning each time; like the first viewing felt like it was about the sort of detritus and inertia that make up a life, and second like it was about artist-as-cipher and the process of being revealed through critique, etc)
