It seems like today is the day Roberts pulls the trigger on attempting a full right-wing coup on the government. He’s gambling that Biden won’t arrest him with this immunity. Even with a Biden win, the senate may swap to Republican, meaning he still won’t lose the bet until at minimum 2026.

I wouldn’t have a job if people could take A and multiply it by .055. I have a job, therefore people cannot multiply by .055. That’s not even getting into when you only multiply by .05 or .059 or .07 or .075 or worst of all, .079. VAT might have some benefits but not worth the added complication.

Starting to suspect that reputation is more easily bought than I expected. If you have money people won’t badmouth you based on an awkward behind closed doors conversation. You can also just hire a writer to talk about how brilliant you are, and a reputation is all you need for most investors.

If I wanted to be charitable to people who say the campaign isn’t focusing on the conviction enough, I would point out that as a voter in a swing state I have not yet seen a TV ad about them. But like, it takes time to film an ad and buy space to broadcast it. At least give them time to do that.
