Who has written about the history of this kind of landscape painting and it's links to the Bob Ross phenomenon? (I mean how did we move from colonial sublime but actual observational art, to the fantasy of happy little trees)

thats one of the most unusual "mount robson" depictions ive seen! here is the closest analog from my collection of mt robson postcards and other representations. strikingly similar foreground, but got the peaks and striated face right. artist name appears to be ??? russell. #bchist #cdnhist
