As an exercise, I once designed a game mechanic in D&D 5e based on someone's homebrew idea. Then, I designed the same mechanic in #Pathfinder2e. It took two or three paragraphs to describe in D&D. It took only two or three sentences in Pathfinder.

Totally agreed. I personally like to use Batman villains as an analogy. It disturbs me when people don't see the fallacy of: "Between the two, I vote to let the Joker out of Gotham Asylum, because Victor Zsasz is crazy and evil!"

Scapegoating is an especially common tactic for far right politicians. Whenever there's a systemic or nuanced problem, they blame a scapegoat. Stagnant wage growth? Blame immigrants. High homelessness? Blame the homeless. High gas prices? Blame the shutdown of the keystone pipeline. Etc.

You're right. It depends on where the tactical gameplay is. Roll-to-hit games need dice only because their tactical options revolve around improving your chances of dealing damage. If the game's tactical options are elsewhere, then dice are superfluous.

You're a genius! I got your "hack" to work in Affinity Publisher 2! Paragraph style with two text decorations for the "borders." Character styles for the highlight color of each individual trait.

That's brilliant! I'll see if I can somehow pull this off in Affinity. I think Paizo uses tables. Whenever the traits section extends to a second line, the bottom trait box has the same width as the top trait box. Unfortunately, tables aren't feasible for me due to the way I automate layouts.

With Howl of the Wild released, I can finally port Chel Ebonflow to #Pathfinder2e. A hydrokineticist who suffers the pain of traveling on land in devotion to Zon-Kuthon and heals by taking away the pain of others. In 2e, she committed an anathema, making her feel the Midnight Lord has abandoned her.

I always wondered how you do that. So your traits have an underline that's thickened and offset upwards and behind the inline text's background color, making it look like a border when it's actually just a really thick line behind the text?

Ancestries should be more than what they look like, and I don't see any issue with there being an aesthetic overlap. That being said, I feel the awakened animals had way too narrow of a description. It assumed all of them looked the same and had the same origins.

Remembering Jesse Schell's definition of a game helps me through this struggle. He described a game as a playful problem-solving activity. Buying a bathroom might be an engaging problem-solving activity for some games, but probably not most tabletop RPGs!

"What lies before you will lead to salvation" in a maze filled with graffiti or signs pointing to different directions. Following the signs covered with falsehoods will lead you to the exit. All the others, which are technically not lies, will lead you in endless circles.

A door with "I open to no one" requires more than one person to open it. "The path revealed is the path unseen" is a pathway or opening that can only be detected by non-visual senses when no one is looking at it.
