Do not fret I have been reliably told it is okay to give the Israelis these bombs that are used to kill children because if we didn't then someone else might give them bombs to kill children with and then we wouldn't have the leverage and influence that we refuse to use

I used to be very content walking around a lot and taking photos, but *smacks forehead* I can just have (so much) fun riding somewhere I've never been, and then walk around there! I really feel like a bird that forgot it had this pair of wings sitting in the basement collecting dust :)

Congrats! That looks like a sweet route. I used to live on my bike, then didn't ride at all for 18 years, now started again and I'm happy like a pig in shit, I'm so hooked. I can't even talk about it because it makes me want to go ride my bike right now.

For years, the endless updates to DO 12 actually annoyed me, I really felt it was high time to pay a bit of money again for the many many many years of extreme usefulness I got out of that one license.

So I'm happy DO 13 exists, but also very irate at how good it is.

Though back then, I knew every nook and cranny. Today, I probably use like 5% of DO. I mean, I never really used the internal scripting that much, certainly not what it offers.. and now DO 13 came out with SO MUCH NEW STUFF.

Tried Krita yet?. Dunno if it has layered filters (because I don't know what those are ^^), but it has a lot of photoshop-y things and can handle large images with a lot of layers no problem.

Check out SpaceHey. Not that it looks like shit, but people don't use the site for modern features that keep them "engaged". Also, A LOT of geocities ass looking profiles, and I mean that in the best of senses. I barely use it tbh, but I absolutely respect what the admin is making there.

Does writing postcards "accomplish" something? Does graffiti? Dunno. But is it "not real life"? That's just silly and weird. I say do either (writing or vandalism) in a way that you like and can stand behind, or at least find funny, and if others get something out of it, too: fine, whatever.

When I was a kid, I actually took a peanut, said the spell and ate it, and although I was too old to believe it would actually work I thought it couldn't hurt to concentrate real hard on wishing, either. Sometimes I think it did work :)

Consider how many streams the alt-right consists of! How it reaches into all sorts of subcultures. I bet you there's an alt-right section, of, say, alien believers. Just like there's fellow travellers in all major and minor religions. And they can fuse quicker than the left can stop to bicker.

I'd say it's more mass personality disorder than any real ideological content. That is, the content (paid lip service to, it's ALWAYS lip service) can wildly vary and turn around on a dime, if need be, without the underlying nature of it changing.

Last sentence reminds me of something Hannah Arendt wrote that I MUST find again: that totalitarianism can only be *fully* understood by autopsy, and that those who aren't mobilized by what is already known won't be when even more is known. (obviously NOT how she put it, she did put it well).
