Also, now, all I can think is "when did catchphrases die?" "What'chu talking 'bout Willis?" "DynoMITE!" "Did I do that?" "How Rude!" did catchphrases slowly fade out or was it a sudden death? Like, 12:01 am 2000 CE and collectively we just said "no more catchphrases."

I looked up more details; because it's Trek related it has a page in Memory Alpha. lol Yeah... its odd. It's during S2 of TNG. I have no proof, this feels like somebody at CBS was owed a favor during a time when TNG was in fear of being canceled - "Nobody's watching TNG... GET ME Emmanuel Lewis!" 🤣

I don't think you missed much on Superman 3. lol It was weird when I was a kid, but it's dumb, campy fun now. Poltergeist is a classic. The 80s Blob remake where it folds the dude in half and pulls him through the bookcase. That's a good scene.

(1/2) Growing up there were a few Trekkies in my class. I remember one of them saying #StarTrek was proof positive time travel exists because there was no way Roddenberry could have 'predicted' the civil rights moment or produced such inclusive TV shows without advanced knowledge of things to come.
