It’s why I’m moving back, I take my rights seriously and believe everybody should have the right to compensate part of the money, and I’m sick and tired of living in a country where that isn’t respected.

The problem with advertising is that it’s not about representation it’s about making the advertiser look progressive, to hopefully sell product. So they rely on stereotypes to pat themselves on the back for their inclusivity. If they toned it down, people might miss it.

I’ve always wondered what I’d do in a similar situation, what with the whole idea of everyone having a price. But it’s that whole having to be comfortable living with it. And I don’t think I could rationalise that away. Luckily I’m a nobody, so it’s unlikely to come up.

I miss going up Knocknaheeny, where you’d pay in the shop and then go stand outside as someone walked past and threw you a bag with the cigs in them. Always added to the atmosphere of the experience.

I’ve got the DVDs from back in the period I was obsessed with sketch comedy. Some of it is very good, and it happily slots into the forgotten shelf along with Asylum, Barking, Scotch & Wry, Unnatural Acts, Comedy Nation, Blunder, Rush Hour, et al

If a person plays a game on easy or legendary (or whatever setting it may be), the only thing I care about is that they enjoyed it. I wouldn’t care if every game came with a “trainer”.

My mistake was always having a blanket on the sofa. Once that was utilised it was impossible to stay awake. Although it only ever worked in the daytime, try the same shit at midnight and was still wide awake.

It’s the one thing I miss about being young, these days if I change something too dramatically, like staying up to watch a PPV, it can throw everything out of whack and take weeks to recover.

I bought some sleep gummies and whilst I’m almost certain it was just a placebo effect, they seemed to make a difference. At least until the diurnal pigeon orgy begins in the early hours on the roof outside my window. Or it rains.
