"Politics would be interesting again." Yeah, half the country would be having nervous breakdowns and fighting with each other loudly and publicly for the next four months, I'm sure that will be very good for the national psyche.

This level of societal anxiety was every day of Trump's presidency for four straight years, and it says nothing good about our most prominent journalists that they are jonesing for it like heroin junkies going through withdrawal.

Politics *should* be boring. People should care, but it shouldn't be some spectacle. I want political issues to be wonky and not about whether my friends & family (& millions of others I don't know but still care about) are going to have any rights six months from now.
