The instructions as far as I could tell seem to just tell you to parboil your rice in a lot of water and then dump out the water and cook as normal. Am I misunderstanding?

So my thinking is that a rice cooker operates on a timer, presuming that the rice is not parboiled, and cooks until the water is absorbed. If it’s parboiled, surely that affects the timing?
