It’s a shame we did not get the Martín Mull-Howard Hesseman-as-brothers early 90s sitcom that we deserved.

Hesseman is the hippie prodigal son who moves home when their mom dies. Mull is the uptight son who cared for mom. The twist is mom had been caring for Hesseman’s estranged teen daughter. Over time, Mull becomes more like Hesseman and vice versa. Fred Willard recurs as wacky neighbor Patch.
