I'm watching, reviewing and scoring every movie in the found footage film iceberg. You should follow me to see that happen.
Thanks ahead of time.

Watched this one fresh. I'll admit, there's nothing inherently wrong with the movie, I can see people getting uppity about wooden dialogue maybe, decent twist at the end. But for a reason I can't honestly identify it didn't really grab me. Perfectly fine watch. 6/10

The unwashed masses can't find job to get a place to live to wash themselves because you need an address to get a job, and without a car in America (which can not be a budget buy at poverty level) you aren't going to be able to get to your job 9/10 times. This is absolute horse shit. #UBI

FFIB#22, The Bay
I can honestly say it's a competent mocumentary and hits home since I grew up partially in the area focused upon in this film. That said, I didn't feel wowed. I think it's creepy, scary even, but lacked a sort of finale or conversation worthy scenes the genre desperately needs. 6/10

FFIB#21, The Taking of Deborah Logan
Great acting, likable characters, story is different enough to not feel like i've seen it a billion times, some set pieces i talk about in movie conversations about great set pieces. It's a good, good movie and one of the greats of the FF genre. 8/10

FFIB#21, The Devil Inside
I think this movie came late to the party after so many exorcism films that viewers experienced burnout. Only thing I can think of to warrant the low site scores. But I enjoyed it, found it compelling and entertaining with decent acting. Fine addition to the genre. 7/10

FFIB#20, Man Bites Dog
I got a more chill type of Henry vibe from this one. An interesting character study where a French hit man has a camera crew follow him through his work and become more and more involved. I was honestly mesmerized by the leads charisma, a very compelling, unnerving watch. 8/10

FFIB#19, Diary of the dead.
written/directed by the father of Zombies, Romero. It's a shame it's awful. I had to watch it in bursts. The acting killed it for me. I wanted to like this movie so much but I only experienced annoyance through the majority of the run time. I'm disappointed. 3/10

FF Ice Berg #18, The Last Exorcism
Absolutely fantastic watch, great acting, great set pieces, glorious camera work, honest to god disturbing moments. This is one of the gems of the iceberg and I struggle finding bad things to say about it. Watch this movie and please ignore the sequel. 8/10

FF ice berg #17, Creep series
Everyone seemed to like this. I hear good things all over the place. I couldn't get behind it. Cringe weird behavior from murderous closet furry isn't scary and I can't find the give a damn to care enough about the character for a study. Hope you liked it more. 3/10

FF Ice Berg #16, Cannibal Holocaust
First in the berg that is also on my 'can't recommend' list for extreme content. This movie's marketing strategy involved the on screen slaughter of animals to appeal to Asian audiences, and I can't condone it. The movie isn't good enough to make up for it. 1/10

So tier one of the Found Footage Ice Burg (iceberg? Who cares) Is officially complete, and we are now moving away from the most common of the genre. We have a long way to go. Thanks to everyone who's shown passing interest in these tiny reviews. Now, tier 2.

Film grain makes the movie look like vintage footage from a secret space expedition and makes suspension of disbelief easy. On top of that the acting is great, the set pieces are good, sets are claustrophobic in the best ways, the movie is pretty good. 7/10

FF ice burg #14, Grave Encounters series
A bit cringe from the TV producer vibes in spots but all in all I was enraptured by these two films. I thought they were plenty strong and even outright scary in spots. A+ haunted house. Wish I cared about the cast more, but I can't think of worse to say.7/10

FF ice burg #13, VHS series
No score for this one. Grab bag along many films of individual horror stories, some fantastic and some sub par, but overall I loved the journey. I wouldn't mind if the series stayed on forever. Give them a watch, you'll quickly have a favorite and a least favorite.

FF ice burg #12, Chernobyl Diaries
This movie isn't found footage, it's just using a camera without stabilization. But it's on the list, and it's not terrible. The few special effects are not great but it was at least fun from front to back. Good survival movie, if a little bland in spots. 6/10

FF ice burg #12, Europa Report
Fantastic sci fi story with a decently paced build, though the quality of the camera's make the FF gimmick a little hard to notice at times. Great set pieces, i'm impressed with how they did the gravity work on the sets. It's a solid movie if not only barely FF. 7/10

FF ice burg #11, Trollhunter
Unique and interesting with great monster design that, as far as I can understand, stays respectful to the source legend and lore of Norwegian trolls. It tried to do something different and succeeded. If you watch one movie from tier 1, consider this one. 8/10

FF Ice Burg #10, Unfriended series
This one hurt a little because they had the perfect editing scenario, a dream low budget set up, all the time in the world to make it perfect at every turn, and still dropped the ball a bit too plenty. Not a bad watch but you know it could have been better. 4.5/10

Look I'm not proud here but I don't want to watch any more movies starring Milla Jovovich. I'm not gonna be vitriolic for the internet I'm just not interested, I'm sure she's a lovely person, I just wish she'd stay out of my horror movies ... 5/10 I guess.

FF ice burg #8, As above, so below
What if tomb raider but horror movie? This film shows you what that looks like. Sometimes in the genre of FF you find movies that really make the free form camera work for them and still manage grand set pieces and this is one of them. Great watch, try it out.

Found Footage Ice burg #7, The Visit
Abysmal. Torturous. Cringe. I barely got any enjoyment out of it and even the end credits made me wish I hadn't wasted my time. Forced, unfunny, not scary, without a doubt the hardest watch of this ice burg so far. Watch if only to understand my vitriol. 0/10

Found footage ice burg #6, Rec/Quarantine
All these movies are at least entertaining with the most impactful coming first in each series. Personally I don't believe it should have been ported to American audiences because the original was far, far better, but you can't find time wasters in either.

Found Footage Iceberg #5, What we do in the shadows
had a fantastic time with this movie. It's a dark comedy about vampire room mates living together in a flatters/renting type living situation in the modern age. I usually end up hating things labeled as comedy horror but what a fun watch. 7/10

Found Footage Iceberg #4, Paranormal Activity Well it's a fantastic case study on how to make a movie with no budget, barely a crew, little to no soundtrack, and as many actors as you have fingers on one hand. Does that make it good? No. Atmospheric, creepy in spots but builds to little payoff. 4/10

Found Footage Iceberg #3, Chronicle
aside from crappy wire work that actually might be on purpose, the movie was a lot of fun. Essentially a found footage origin story of a hero and a villain both high school aged. All in all I was very invested and I think most could get something out of it. 8/10

-The Blair Witch = One of the pioneers of the genre, slow burn but i still enjoyed it. 7/10

I'll be real i haven't watched WWE since the quarantine started. I wanna take a look at AEW but it's kind of hard without them having an online contract. I was a huge fan of Lucha Underground though... til i found out how dirty they did their wrestlers. *also doesn't want to watch Logan Paul wrestle
