Secret reveal=there are almost no mosquitos here.
The city is loud, chaotic, thereβs not much nature. A girl & her mom are moving home: back to the country where thereβs trees , creeks, animals. Goadeβs illustration takes the story to another level, with a warm palette and mixed media images. #kidlit πππΌ

Edutwitter had a strong sharing community. Here, it feels supportive, but less about sharing. I think it helps to have new teachers who ask for and need support, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of that here. There questions seem to build interesting conversations.
I like the tone here.
And Then, Boom by Lisa Fipps feels like an important MG for teachers and young people to read. We can end childhood hunger. #sdgs#endhunger #mgbooks ππ
ππGreenwild: The City beyond the Sea (book 2) is remarkable. Thomson's word choice is so spot-on, and the novel is a delight from start to finish. We listened to the audiobook and had a hard time pausing it.

This is an exceptional graphic nonfiction text. Everyone adjacent to pre-teens and teens would benefit from reading it. I knew the content and still benefited from the presentation.

Hello Aquarium family. Itβs with great sadness that we share that our beloved sea otter Rosa passed away today. At 24 years old, Rosa was the oldest resident otter at the Aquarium and one of the longest-lived individuals of her species.
