It's cool that the Boston Fire Department keeps this old technology as a backup. It's depressing that at the same time the MBTA is running in many areas on technology this old.

The MBTA still employs blacksmiths, which in a way is kind of cool, but also depressing as it highlights just how old some of the system is.
