Yeah some of them do actually think that way but they’re idiots. They’re just as dumb as the “anarchists” who think they’re going to Mad Max their way through the fall of civilization.

Mostly, honestly, I think they just don’t want to spend the money. It’s just short-termism. Most of them are not thinking far enough ahead to be as strategically evil as what you are suggesting.
