There would appear to be a real chance that Waveney Valley and North Herefordshire could elect Green Party MPs. 'Deep blue' rural seats, full of people who notice stuff like extreme weather and sewage-filled rivers. You'd think the ecological emergency might be an electoral issue.

(Coverage on Channel 4 News and in the Guardian. But not a peep from our cowering BBC, and of course, nothing whatsoever in the Tory press.)

Agreed, this topic is very much underrated in the campaign. I’m really hoping Ellie Chowns will get N Herefordshire. Just wish S Herefordshire had a credible alternative to the Tory MP, at the mo not really sure who to go for with tactical voting 🤔

But doesn't this fly in the race of farmers being naturally conservative? No to regulation, no to tax, no to interference from government, until they need health care, or social support or educational opportunities, no to everything bar handout subsidies. I'm in Powys and still Conjob party posters

I was in Waveney Valley yesterday. The place was *covered* in posters for the Greens. I grew up there and I’ve never seen anything like it.

Exactly this in very blue North Cornwall. Waterlogged fields, and also a lack of seasonal workers. (And all the usual problems associated with rural areas). There’s a reasonable chance of it reverting to the LDs, so perhaps the penny has dropped.
