Okay the question since age 23 hasn't been if I want kids. I do. One or two. Question is: am I the type of person who should be having kids? I got all the mental illnesses my sisters avoided and I've been known to be a selfish dickhead in the past. And what kind of world am I bringing them into?

I think these concerns are common. I never wanted kids until I met the right person to have them with, and I still have these doubts on a semi-regular basis. Being aware of your shortcomings will likely make you a better parent in the long run.
