My grandpa hates them, there’s an airfield right next to his house and all day it’s just small planes over his head. Supposedly they’re super noisy not because they have to be, but because regulation says they don’t need to be quiet. They also all mostly run 50’s era technology engine/blade wise.

Like a Cessna 172, *the* small aircraft you see everywhere, is running an engine platform from the mid 50’s and its most advanced addition is fuel injection in the 90’s. Spec wise there’s no reason why you couldn’t put like a modern Corollas engine in there and double the fuel economy as well.
