This may be a 2 or 3 skeeter here Remember Carl Sagan describing Flatland? A 2D world full of 2D people and were a 3D person looking down on Flatland from above. We reach our 3rd dimensional hand into the 2D world and grab a 2D creature and expose it to UP a dimension it can't conceive of.

I kinda see gender like that. Its a big 2D plane with a colour gradient running white to black with the whole ass spectrum of light in the middle. our genders are running all over that plane but never see it for they are tiny, our labels trap us like how Gravity keeps us from walking to Mars
