I was shopping for an all-region DVD player last year and it occurred to me to buy two. One is staying in its box in the event that the other breaks down. I’ve got a huge collection of DVDs/BluRays and I’ll be buying up as many as I can in the near future.

I hate to indulge in alarmism - but I'll do it anyway no problem - but I looked over at my shelves of Blu-rays and the thought that they'd all be bricked because "streaming is now the norm" makes me ill.
