IANAL but I am an infectious disease person. Catching something is a type of spread. If you weren’t infected, and now you are; that’s a spreading event. But also, this anti-masking bullshit is both ridiculous and harmful. I am so sorry for folks affected.

Fair. But I'm not sure the legislators of NC are using the term that way, or why Take Out the part about "ensuring the physical health or safety of the wearer or others"? I guess the change does remove the right to use them against pollution, smoke, tear gas, pollen, or other inhaled irritants.
