That Heritage Foundation statement threatening a violent revolution against the left = that moment in a movie in which the forces of evil loudly announce their evil plans. except in real life, unlike in a movie, most normal people don’t even realize this has *happened* (which is our job).

1. Covid causes T-cell damage. That's why you get sick all the time. 2. Covid persists in your tissues, and probably is not doing anything good there. Both of these things are true 2 years out from each infection. Even "mild" cases. www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

For Disability Pride Month I’m once again begging for more artists to start considering accessibility and add alt text to your images. It helps low/no vision folks, neurodivergent folks, and more. Plus alt text shows up in searches! There’s a toggle in settings so you won’t forget. 👇

As my comrade Cheryl Rivera has correctly written: “There is no resistance to capitalism that has not been met with batons.” If you don't deal with policing, policing will deal with you.

did anyone catch the protest-bashing line in gorsuch's homelessness decision? "It makes no difference whether the defendant is a person experiencing homelessness, on vacation, or a student who abandons his dorm room to camp out in protest on the lawn of a municipal building"

Today, the federal government put itself on the right side of history by seeking, for the 1st time, to establish the precedent that every worker in America has the right to shade, water & rest while working in temps that could kill them. -UFW President Teresa Romero

that's the whole idea, yes people lose their jobs, their health care, and their homes, and then, once they get arrested for sleeping rough or nonpayment of tickets, they become slave labor for prison jobs.

The direction they could /should be leading (where a lot of people would like to go) is left, but they don't want to do that because a lot of their money comes from the same pockets as the GOP's. This is how capitalism turns into fascism, because even the 'liberals' are denouncing socialism.

The North Carolina House overrode the Governor’s veto of the bill to criminalize masks.

There is an exemption but it may be too vague to protect mask-wearers from arrest and illness.

Now the bill will go the Senate where Republicans also have a “supermajority.”

Politicians treat the Supreme Court the way they treat cops which is to say that they fund them, seem afraid of them, demand no accountability and allow them to act with complete impunity. Instead of disempowering them, it's some commissions, reports and shrugs.
