Digital paintings of people and things from movies and tv shows and games I like. NOPE to AI/NFT. Doritos enthusiast. Skeets sent from a haunted New England bog.
There’s so many artists work I’d keep coming back that had lineart (either full or like, as complimentary bits if that makes sense) & I wanted that in my art but it just wasn’t meshing with how I liked to paint I guess? I’m a million times better at painting than drawing. Still figuring it out tho!
Behold, an experiment! Didn’t draw it or do lineart at all (scary!), just went right into painting shapes and shadows/highlights in an under painting, then painting over that. Rhaenyra Targaryen, House of the Dragon. I love doing weird colorful shadows.
Is the sociopathic child leader and her gaggle of murderous children that way because of the GMO corn? Were they possessed by the Corn Guy? Who the fuck knows! Certainly not anyone who watched this movie, and I’m guessing no one who made or was in the movie knows either
The 2020 Children of the Corn movie was bafflingly bad. Starts off with a bunch of orphans being killed by halothane gas, and not a single one becomes a corn ghost. Not one! Instead we get a sociopathic child leading a gaggle of murderous children and who can summon… a GMO corn demon
Watched In A Violent Nature last night, and I’m not normally a slasher/bad guy (who may or may not be alive) with a weapon movie fan but it was pretty dang good. Tense and brutal and unflinching. I liked the lack of jump scares or music.
Horror buds, who else is seeing LONGLEGS this week? I’m excited to see Maika Monroe again, and to see what weird shit Nic Cage does in a serial killer role

When I was 12 I woke up to find a blister on the top of my foot had a red line going past my ankle, I had to drag myself to another room to ask my dad to take me to the doctor because the pain was so bad. Pain 11/10, fun 0/10, do not recommend
My s3 thoughts: Carmy is a fucking mess. He needs serious therapy. He fucked over his staff but especially Sydney this season. Too much Fak stuff. Too much all over the place in general. I loved Tina’s backstory episode, and the episode with DD and Sugar was great.
The Bear is either gonna end like The Menu (human s’mores) or by reverting back to what people REALLY want: a place to buy a delicious and decently priced sandwich served by people who tell you to go fuck yourself
One thing I do miss about the other place was the lively live tweeting about shows, eg House of the Dragon.
Love seeing some s1 actors in visions
Criston Cole should get knocked off his horse more often, daily preferably
Dragon fight!!!!
Dragon fight :( :( :(
Ok need to go do stuff but the infected from 28 Days/Weeks Later (2002/2007) are forever my scariest monster. They’re still alive, likely have some memories and recognition of loved ones, and are hyper violent and infectious. Absolute nightmare fuel. I still get nightmares inspired by this movie.
Look, it’s not Gore Verbinski’s fault that every horror movie after his was super green and blue. It made sense for The Ring (2002)! Anyway Samara is still one of my favorites. So small, so vengeful.
Yeah I feel like of the “big famous slasher guys” (Freddy, Leatherface, Jason, Mike) that TCM is the scariest of the bunch. And Alien definitely is scary!
The vampires in 30 Days of Night (2007) are one of my favorite vampire designs. They wear modern clothes but everything else about them is so feral and ancient. They remind me of sharks. Also, Danny Huston, one of my fav bad guys 😍
The Pale Man from Pan’s Labyrinth. I remember seeing this in theaters in 2006, my first semester of college. God, what a film. Doug Jones really brought the terror with this one.
The jotunn from The Ritual (2017) is easily like, top five monster designs EVER. Keith Thompson’s beautiful fucked up brain designed this beauty. For the alt text I’m sorry I don’t even know how to describe this fucking thing
Anyway I just want to post some of my favorite monsters and creatures. Let’s start off with a little known one, the demon from Son (2021). I gasped when I saw the demon on screen, the design is just SO cool and unearthly and beautiful
I watched the first two Friday the 13th movies last night because I hadn’t seen them before (I generally find slashers uninspiring/boring) and genuinely want to know if people saw that in theaters and found it scary?
Okay admittedly I have never heard of this class (my only exp with this is BG3 and DOS2, and I play magic types like sorcerer/warlock/conjurer/witch) but I have a collection of feathers and shark teeth and weird critter bones so I guess this fits!
