so not only does eating before bloodwork affect your glucose levels, it'll fuck with your iron as well. fuuuuck. why was i not told to fast beforehand? are accurate results not standard practice? i guess that means i'm hopefully okay on all counts?

Yeah every time I get those tests they specifically say it's a fasting test. No eating 12 hours before, other than water

Fastin’ before a test depends on the test Often random collection (as in stuff like no fastin’) gives perfectly fine results No eatin’ instructs would be given for more of a confirmation test instead of a routine and/or screenin’ test since it requires more work from the patient
