"You're either with us or against us" is an ultimatum. I refuse to vote for either Trump or Biden. Trump for obvious reasons, Biden for a multitude of similar ones. My vote has a price tag on it, and Biden hasn't paid the bill yet.

I doubt this happened very much. Leftists are not known for wanting fascism. They are known, however, for wanting actual policies that curb fascism instead of embolden it, and tend to dislike supporting someone who is only marginally better than the fascist currently seeking power.

I asked how we can trust each other when the interaction between libs and leftists is one of being condescended to and demanding of loyalty to a party that doesn't represent us. Voting down ballot is important and useful, but fascism is on the ballot this year

How can we do that if every time we are offered a choice between a candidate that leftists like myself are excited about, the DNC backs the corporate guy and libs try and brow beat us for not wanting the worse candidate? How can we trust each other when that is our interaction?

So when you ask whether or not leftists have been pushed out or jumped, the answer is both. I jumped because I don't see the Dem leadership giving way to progressive wins in any timely fashion, which is what the country needs if it wants to fend off fascism. They push out those candidates regularly.

The other point to this is to illustrate that we have a lot of corporate friendly Democrats out there who don't want to link arms with or sit next to progressive Dems. You mentioned Joe Manchin earlier and his bill blocking stunts illustrate this perfectly.

Which is good! But it's hard to be excited about that when the option could have been "free healthcare at the point of service." It is substantially weaker in that regard, and you can't blame people for being upset about that as the only option allowed.

Feel free to tell me. I am not saying Biden is the ultimate bad guy here, or even that he has done nothing good. I'm trying to point out that as a candidate, he doesn't support those pillars as strongly as possible, and that's really weird if you want to fire up your base.

I do too. I also remember some lawsuits that ended with a judge ruling that the DNC has no obligation to run a fair election in primaries, as they are a private entity or something like that.

Agreed, I'm just addressing the other person's words. I'm just as disillusioned with DNC leadership and their ability to stop fascism at the federal level, I don't consider them to be a real oppositional party in that respect.
