Wind pollination is rare in the Ericaceae but Ceratiola ericoides, another SE USA endemic, is a prime example. The species is dioecious. These are female flowers. #anemophily #SEUSA #windpollination #pollination #Ericaceae #endemic #Botany #PlantScience 🌾🧪

Good question. My gut feeling is no (and in fact there is a well known bias against description of strange fossils in plants that cannot be readily assigned to extant taxa, ... [1/2]
