Because one executive salary is a drop in the ocean vs MCD’s total labor costs. Total work force of company + franchise crews is approx 1.5m people. If the CEO worked for free they could each earn about $12 more per year. That equates to a raise of about 6/10 of a penny per hour.

A gas grill is pointless for burgers. Gas adds no flavor, as opposed to charcoal, pellets, wood, etc If your grill is gas, do them inside on the stove in cast iron. Results will be vastly better. And long live Chuck Schumer, and vote blue and fuck Trump.

It's hard to value what 280 days a year of PERFECT weather is worth, but to me it's worth a lot (and the other 85 days are not bad) Throw in the coastal scenery, one of the best restaurant & food scenes on the planet and it starts to seem like a bargain

Slotting fees are part of their gross revenues, reflected in the 2% margins. And executive salaries are tiny portion of overall labor cost. Kroger CEO had cash comp of 5.5mil last year, vs revenue of 150 Billion, SG&A of 26 Bil Grocery is a low margin business with very little pricing power.
