Is this a kamikaze mission? How is he possibly believing this is working? I can imagine two scenarios (not necessarily mutually exclusive) 1. He’s on the ropes as leader and is doubling down as a tyrant. 2. The mining lobby has thrown so much $ his way, scruples and ethics are irrelevant. Bizarre.
