This Dutton nonsense is a ridiculous indulgence. A surge in Tory favourable polls is hardly a shock. He is a known entity to the voter - as a brutish ignorant thug. The cowards with him are biding their time but they are all spoilt goods. The Australian Tories need a root and branch clear out.

Is this a kamikaze mission? How is he possibly believing this is working? I can imagine two scenarios (not necessarily mutually exclusive)
1. He’s on the ropes as leader and is doubling down as a tyrant.
2. The mining lobby has thrown so much $ his way, scruples and ethics are irrelevant.
Bizarre.

Tories the world over are being comprehensively rejected due to their incessant lies. The Australian and soon to be UK wipe outs can hopefully give momentum to a return to clarity for the US.
No one cares what they say. Its all bullshit.

I thought the Snow White one was very good.
Dutton’s folly is grist for the satirical mill. Next thing you know he’ll be suing for defamation like all on the turn Libs (or murderers or rapists in their orbit) do.

These actions will give future Newington enrolments pause for thought. As an “Old Student” myself, I would doubt the custodianship and health of the school culture if alumni could derail plans for diversity (and hopefully inclusivity) like this.

And this is why Dutton is pushing nuclear. He’s the mining industries courtesan. There’s not much he won’t say or do for them. The rest of us can go to (nuclear winter) buggery.

On ABC, Liberal MP in SA exemplifies the opposition nonsense. It’s clear this is a political manoeuvre not a genuine long term infrastructure plan. They had 11 years to make a case and see it through - and left a pitiable energy system. Fire, floods and redundant coal power. That’s the LNP legacy.

There is no one - absolutely no one who is a real person (not a conservative talking head in the pay of the mining lobby) who cares or wants this. This is Dutton’s folly and such a transparent hypocrisy it staggers belief.

Why is this being given any credence? They are no longer in power. They won’t be in power again for at least a decade. This is such a waste of time and detracts from the genuine energy programs. Ridiculous.

I wouldn’t trust the former government (now opposition) with making a cup of tea let alone having them in charge of nuclear power. Both their absolute incompetence and mendacity would make Chernobyl look like a Sunday picnic.

That’s some bad proportions. The “rule of thumb” - for nearly anything - is 20% for, 60% lukewarm either way, 20% against. For the maths to start being impacted shows some bad juju.

There’s something wrong with some police the world over. A similar situation happened in Australia. A young cow survived recent floods and was washed kilometres downstream to a beach. It was harassed by kids, and wandered onto a road. Police were called and shot it.
God knows why.

Ch9 report today mocks Irwin’s actions. That he should “lighten up”. Pretty clueless stuff by Ch9 continues.
I think Bluey may join Irwin as who would want Hanson and her far right eccentrics using your reputation for their nefarious and usually pretty moronic rantings.

Knowing the Post and the Telegraph well, I am sorry these vermin are invading what was once a bastion for truth. The Telegraph nursed Boris Johnson at the teat and fanned the flames of Brexit and the new European facism.
Trump now has an ally.

Umm. We have form. From underarm bowling to sandpaper, Australia veers into the grey zone relatively often.
