If, as Lord Ashcroft's polls says, Labour achieve a landslide victory on a vote share less than they had in 2017, then their victory is a function of the FPTP system rather than enthusiasm for their policy platform. Somehow that seems very undemocratic.

Why? People vote against parties as much as they vote for them. They did in 2017 and 2019, they will in 2024.

Hilarious how FPTP is about to become dangerously undemocratic once it advantages Labour. *Cannot wait* for the Tory press to start bleating for PR? Not least because this country has a structural 2:1 split in favour of progressive parties. Tory backers should be carefully what they wish for..
