I’m just curious because you make it sound like Joe Biden has the power to appropriate money but he keeps tweeting things like “let’s pay teachers more” and it seems like if he had the power to claim credit for federal funding he should use it to pay teachers more instead of tweeting it.

When did they change this? It used to be that Congress was responsible for funding and the president only had to sign it into law. I’m pretty sure NYS funding has more to do with Chuck leading the senate but maybe they changed things.

The Google AI results are really stealing traffic from content creators. This article on vodka sauce was doing some gangbusters traffic with people who wanted to know who created the sauce. Google's AI pulls some original research and returns it at the top.

As for who can write of tolls — the whole point is for people to take the train and not drive. But any employee responsible for tools or equipment should have their employer pay for that travel regardless of the tolls.

How do Democrats win statewide office in New York? Its the supermajority and high turn out in NYC and to a lesser extent other urban areas. The MAGA fascists in Nassau and Suffolk are not voting for a Democratic governor no matter how much they pander.

The people in Nassau and Suffolk are losing their minds because their LIRR trains don't get to Atlantic terminal anymore -- because the state didn't have the money to buy more train sets to service Grand Central LIRR and just switched the train destinations.
