Fixing glitches and some weird memory issues on my Go MSX emulator will require some mandatory tooling on the Z80 and/or VDP part :
- display RAM / VRAM
- show sprites patterns
- step by step debugging
- ...

Ok, it seems that my Z80 emulator has reached a certain level of maturity and stability.

I coded a basic MSX emulator, and I'm able to play some old games I owned, but I still have to implement sound emulation and fix some glitches.

ZEXALL and ZEXDOC are really a must go.
If your Z80 emulator is able to pass these tests suites, then you are really on tracks.
However for TDD, it’s easier to use FUSE at first.

My Z80 emulator seems ready for more, so I started a little something.
Still work in progress, but with the appropriate documentation, it’s easier than expected.

And it’s done!

1356 unit tests later, I successfully implemented all documented and undocumented instructions of the Z80 on my Golang emulator.

All instructions have correct timings in a 4-20Mhz frequency range.

Now, some cleanup and optimisation phase before next part…

Not yet finished, missing some Misc instructions to implement, but it’s nice to run my Z80 emulator at … nearly 400Mhz.
Seems to work fine on limited instruction set !
Complete instruction set hopefully finished by the end of the weekend …

Installed Gnome 46 on a Mankato instable branch. What could go wrong ? 6 hours later : done. Pulled my hairs off. GDM, systemd, wayland… Worth the shot however
