I personally often think my life would have turned out a lot better/ I would’ve been happier/healthier had the 34 year old who derailed it when I was 20 only to discard me a year later simply not gotten involved and left me the fuck alone but eh massive YMMV imbalance of power/experience is real

imbalance of power/experience is real. for some people, age represents both; the older someone is, the more powerful; the younger, the less powerful. a problem is it Infantilizes the young I've been the younger and the older in relationships. abusers come in all ages😣 sorry you went thru that tho

i don’t think it discredits my agency to acknowledge the fact that 10+ years of living life can give a person an edge over someone whose frontal lobe isn’t fully formed
