Yup. And I believe nihilism appeals to lazy progressive, because it simultaneously allows them to demonstrate an awareness and appreciation of progressive values, but doesn't actually require them to DO anything to enable those values. "Of course I wanna better world, but it's impossible! Boohoo!"

I want a better world, but having recovered from a stress-induced breakdown several years ago and still trying to recover, I know my limits and I know that allowing myself to care about anything other than my own basic needs is inviting trouble. I know I'm not alone in this.
