#Writestuff A3 ps43survives.com wrapped up its story in the middle last week. Art was costing $200/page, and nothing was flowing in to counterbalance. Just couldn't keep it up any more. I think it ended on a good beat, though.

#WriteStuff A1 Different levels of completion, I think. A chapter ending isn't an ending at all ... it's to entice you to start the next one. A series ending should feel like a climax, like there's nothing more to say. A book ending should feel much like that, but with room for a profitable sequel.

On a related topic, I have long argued that if a dog can turn a human dish into a "dog dish" by licking it, I should be able to revert a dog dish to human-worthy status by licking it. My mother never agreed.

I think we need to worry most about getting the people that have given up on the process to vote for Biden. If that alienates a few "centrist"s, I think that's OK.

I've maintained for years that we should treat white collar crime as capital crime -- it tends to leave a clear paper trail, so there is essentially no risk of convicting the wrong person, and our current system does nothing to discourage recidivism.

That's from the soundtrack of "I Know What You Did Last Summer". I saw that in the theatre when it first came out and started laughing quite inappropriately when I recognised the song. I was the only one in the theatre old enough to recognise it, I think.

I have work to do outside, and, at 0520, it is already 28C and headed for well over 40C -- so I'm up. Despite the labeling, I don't live in Phoenix proper, but substantially north at a higher elevation. It will be several degrees warmer in there.

Yep ... the reason I've turned off my graphic novel output and reverted solely to the written word. At least with the written word, I'm not bleeding cash while trying to get people to look at my work, and there just doesn't seem to be a way to get eyeballs anymore.
