Yup! Or the...whatever, not Munchausen, but the person who is always a victim, always in crisis, always the half-drowned kitten on the doorstep whenever the spotlight shifts. IMO it's much better to be like, okay, you want attention, what are healthy ways to get it?

"Everyone wants attention: learn to offer something in exchange." And that doesn't have to be a capitalism something, it can be your own attention, or knowledge about a subject, or the ability to tell a funny story about that time you put your credit card in the receipt slot at a gas station.
