In Southeast Asia, where I got shoes-off religion, almost every house has tile floors and there is no circumstance when you would wear shoes indoors. I have literally watched Asian cops take off their shoes before going into a house. After ten years there I cannot stand the idea of shoes indoors.

I don’t think you have explained it even once. You have listed circumstances that apply to Ukrainian citizens whether or not they are also US citizens, and you have identified minor public messaging tasks for State Department reps. None of that seems like a compelling case for anything.

I am as dense as god made me. I still fail to understand how this is a problem caused by the existence of dual citizenship. If they are not US citizens then the only difference would be not receiving that advice. Not a major crisis.

So dual citizenship is a problem because the DoS had to dust off and email a boilerplate letter? Meanwhile it allows families with parents from different countries to maintain ties to each of their home countries on an equal basis.

UK sockets are terrible compared to Schuko. As the sockets age, plugs start to fall out under their own prodigious weight. Step on an upturned plug and you’ll need reconstructive foot surgery. Having the fuses in the plugs means bad wiring in the wall is more likely to cause a fire.
