I didn’t make it to Protomartyr tonight bc I had to make 750lbs of pastitsio (long story) but I heard they played Half Sister (my fav song) and Ain’t So Simple (my other fav song) so I can only conclude that God hates me

Finished Fallout show. It was Very Good imo. The Ghoul being one giant Sergio Leone/Angel Eyes homage was probably the best part. But that’s not really a surprise. Also showrunners who use Walton Goggins correctly have so much reach Hollywood. You just gotta let Goggins Goggins.

This sucks. Tolkien himself said “Tom Bombadil is not an important person—to the narrative.” This guy has become a lame way for ppl to signal that they’ve read the books & not just seen the movies. To intro him now feels like a weird fan service loop of suckitude.

I was driving home when I learned that Steve Albini died. The fury and the stillness he was able to coax out of so many artists shaped my entire life in music. Original, authentic; subversive but not in a way that felt like it was a schtick. What an immense, gutting loss. A Bourdain-esque figure.
