It is incredible to see in this day and age in # NewZealand that our government still believes in trickle-down economics and also borrowed for tax cuts after what happened to the UK when they proposed it. Insane!

I've concluded that alcohol is no longer for me. I don't over indulge and I do like a beer but the next day I don't enjoy it especially as I have gotten older. It's not the physical toll it takes but the mental one. It makes me irritable and irrational and heightens anxiety. Thanks, but no thanks

The cost of domestic flights in # NewZealand is already out of control and is about to go up.?? There needs to be additional travel options in this country. A monopoly is not acceptable in 2024, and we need competition ASAP!!!

The cuts to the public service in #NewZealand are not a benefit to the country but will ultimately cost considerably more than it saves as they will eventually need to rehire and upskill new people and the inevitable spend on top 4 consultancies goes through the roof.

Cutting this service to fund tax breaks is ridiculous. The highest rate of youth suicide in the OECD and Nationals priority is making sure their mates get a few more dollars in their pockets. This is shameful.

Yep, although I am not sure if any government is going to be brave enough. Recently, I drove from Christchurch to Dunedin 5hrs each way for work as flights were $800 return. Would have loved to take a train, can work, eat and have space.

Toll roads in New Zealand are an awful idea, having seen them first-hand in Ireland, The UK and Australia. The private companies get extended licences time after time for periods of 20 years, well beyond what would be standard capital return.

We should be better than that, but it turns out that a lot of people are pretty happy with this approach of crushing the less well-off and vulnerable. The economics of all these strategies are going to be a nightmare to reverse

I do wonder if the National Government realise that the short terms cuts cost the economy far more in the long run. This has been proven over and over again with austerity in the UK that lastest case. It’s short termism at its finest. We need long term thinking with proper outcomes #newzealand

People are losing their jobs, and he has a swipe at them in a petty attack as they have called him out on his policy decisions. # #NewZealand has to be really careful as cuts to media lead to politicians being brazen in their approach to division. Less scrutiny has never been a good thing.
