I have to wonder, are ads only worth it because the companies get money every time they’re shoved in our faces, or do people actually buy the stuff? Do people ACTUALLY buy stuff that interrupts their video, or makes it impossible to read the article they clicked on?

Then you should know how much this “fucking app” applies to those struggles, especially with how Meta apps suppress minority posts (or politics in general) in the algorithm. Many people use it as a source of income, and a way to get word out about injustices that politicians don’t like getting out.
