As a nonbinary person who uses they/them - I do use “themself”. Same as how we use “yourself”/“yourselves” for singular/plural second-person reflexive.

That makes a lot of sense. I also think ideas of “correct” should never overrule anyone’s decisions about how they identify, which makes me hesitate to engage in the argument as framed, but it’s tough to resist when they’re also wrong within their own frame.
